Manuel Delgado: Guitars For Good

A Discussion with Delgado Guitars. June 6 at 4:00 PM EST

Third-generation guitar-maker Manuel Delgado is keeping his family's legacy alive.

Manuel Delgado’s grandfather and great uncle started building handmade guitars in Torreon, Mexico in 1928. The Delgado family has been making and repairing guitars for four generations. Its clients have included Arlo Guthrie, Jose Feliciano, Jackson Browne, blues master Buddy Guy, Hoyt Axton, Charro and Grand Ole Opry alumni Old Crow Medicine Show.

Proud to carry his family’s unique heritage, Manuel never fails to remember its significance. The Delgado family’s story is one of risk, sacrifice, and compassion that led Manuel to Nashville where he and his family’s company reside today.

Just like every guitar he makes has a story, Manuel believes everyone has a story that can touch other people. On June 6 at 4:00 PM EST, Manuel will share his story as well as how he’s used his platform and business as a force for social good in his community, fighting for services for teachers, minorities, and everyday people.
